- 02Forehead: Botox is typically injected into the frontalis muscle in the forehead to reduce the appearance of horizontal forehead lines. The injection sites may vary depending on the individual's anatomy, but usually, injections are given in a horizontal line across the forehead. The number of units used can range from 10 to 30, depending on the severity of the lines. Crow's feet: Botox is typically injected into the orbicularis oculi muscle, which surrounds the eyes and is responsible for squinting and smiling. The injections are given at the corner of the eyes, and the number of units used per side can range from 6 to 12. Brow lift: Botox can be used to lift the eyebrows by injecting it into the muscles that pull the brows downward. Typically, the injections are given in the glabellar complex, which is the area between the eyebrows. The number of units used is 1 per side. Lip flip: Botox can be used to create a subtle "lip flip" by relaxing the muscles that pull the upper lip down. The injections are given at the corners of the mouth and in the upper lip. The number of units used can range from 2 to 6. Chin: Botox can be used to reduce the appearance of a dimpled or "pebbly" chin by relaxing the mentalis muscle. The injections are given in the center of the chin. The number of units used can range from 2 to 6.
- 03Remove the sterile vial of Botox from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature. Clean the top of the Botox vial with an alcohol swab to disinfect it. Draw up 2.5 mL of sterile Bacto solution into a sterile syringe. Slowly inject the sodium chloride solution into the vial of Botox. Direct the solution along the inside wall of the vial, and not directly onto the Botox powder. Gently swirl the vial to ensure that the Botox powder dissolves completely. Do not shake the vial vigorously, as this can damage the protein structure of the Botox. Withdraw the reconstituted Botox back into the sterile syringe. Attach a new sterile needle to the syringe for injection. After reconstitution, the Botox should be used within 4 hours and must be kept refrigerated.
- 04If you are not a medical professional but are covered by a Medical Director when providing Botox treatments in the state of Texas, you may still be required to have secondary insurance coverage. This will depend on the specific requirements of your Medical Director and the policies of the insurance providers. To obtain secondary insurance coverage in this situation, you should consult with an insurance agent who specializes in medical malpractice insurance. They can provide you with information on policies that may be available to you based on your unique circumstances. When working with a Medical Director, it's important to clarify their insurance policies and requirements to ensure that you have adequate coverage. You may also want to consider obtaining general liability insurance, which can provide coverage for non-medical claims, such as slip-and-fall accidents or damage to property. Overall, the best approach is to consult with an insurance agent who can guide you through the process of obtaining secondary insurance coverage as a non-medical professional providing Botox treatments in Texas.

- 09Once you finalize the treatment and indicate the units used, you will see a button saying 'Request payment from patient' and one additional button saying 'Pay with my own app'. Click the second option and add a credit card where the payment can be charged. Your patient can pay you with cash as long as you still run the treatment through the app.
- 10Go to "Shop" and scroll down until you see the chart "Give your patient a treatment credit" and select one of the options given, then in the next screen, type the email that your patient uses with the app, and the credit code will be sent to the patient email address and you can add it in the section to pay you the treatments once the appointment is over.
